Logo ideas - drawings

To generate some ideas for potential logos I did some quick drawings of what I thought would work well for a bakery's brand using imagery such as cupcakes, whisks and a rolling pin.

I thought the circle designs would look a bit like cookie cutters/ stamps therefore did a few variations of these. I also did some variations of typefaces using script text to contrast agains block capitals.

Name Ideas

To generate name ideas we first made a list of words that related to the bakery and the image they wanted to present to the consumer. This includes things such as the fact they are going to be a luxury brand therefore want to seem more high end and will probably be charging more for their products.

Cookie stamps

Using cookie stamps to influence our logo design. Bellow are some examples that people use when doing home baking to make their cookies/ biscuits more personal. I think this is a nice touch for a baking brans and has that home-made feel and seems more personal to the consumer.

And so it was whimsy, earnest, flavor forward bakes for you and anyone who's wondering or wandering - There's a seat for you here.
Our heart for this business comes from a desire to create something new in the place that we call home. To contribute something to our city, to foster an environment  that builds community, even if it's just by way of a baked good or a cup of coffee.
In our travels we've learned that people are progressive, not places. Traveling became more field study, and now, baking has become an homage to the places and experiences that grew us, to the lessons and things we've learned to love, to the memories of people who took time to teach us to bake and cook, those people who continuously showed us that hard work and passion are what dreams are made of.

The history of Parisian tea rooms is intimately tied to the history of the Ladurée family. It all began in 1862, when Louis Ernest Ladurée, a man from France’s southwest, created a bakery in Paris at 16 rue Royale.

Just outside Paris sits the Ladurée laboratory, the place where the pâtisseries and macarons are prepared every day and where any self-respecting food lover would dream of being locked in.
