Looking at existing booklets and analysing their layouts

Looking at existing booklets and analysing their layouts

What I like about this booklet is the fact that the colour palette is actually pretty boring yet the booklet as a whole demands to be felt and looked at. This is down to the textured paper that is used which really enforces the importance of paper stock and opened my eyes up to this fact. I also think the design of the booklet adds to this and the fact that it is a concertina makes you want to play with it and fold it out in order to interact with it. I like how the title of the booklet is displayed in the bottom left corner horizontally. This takes on some of the rules that the Marber grid does, displayed the title and the logo in the top one third of the cover and having the illustration, or in this case the title, in the bottom two thirds of the cover.

The use of point size is also important inside this booklet as the larger texts shows the services that they provide, the things they class as 'important'. More information about each service can be found above each heading in a smaller point size, things they class as 'less important' or not essential to read.

The point size is also important in this booklet as it features lots of information on one page yet bolder, larger type is used to highlight the important information as well as the used of thick underlining. What I like about this design is the fact that from far away you can see the bold white lines very clearly as the stand out well against the bright orange background.
