to get some idea as to how I should design my calendar I looked at those already on the market to see what people were interacting with/ would appreciate.
I found this desk calendar on paper chase which is in a useful ring binder format therefore can be closed and taken on the go as well as displayed in the home/ office. I thought this would be a good ideas as my calendar will be featuring the seasonal fruits and veg for each month therefore people may find it useful to be able to take this shopping with them.
I then looked on etsy as I thought this would offer a more unique and artsy range of calendar which would fit my brief more. I came across a botanical wall calendar which I really like, I like the fact it doesnt look like a bog standard calendar and focuses more on the artwork in it which is something I would like to achieve. The dates are very simply presented and are nicely spaced out therefore are easy to ready and acknowledge.
I also looked at this calendar which is displayed in a wooden block and consists of monthly cards which I think is a nice idea as it means each individual card can be taken out and is more interactive.
This gave me some idea as to how I should design my own calendar, I will need something which offers a lot of room for the fruit/ veg to feature but also allows breathing space for the dates.
