I really like the introduction to the app Kitchen Stories, the friendly tone of voice in 'Im new' and 'ive been here' make the app seem less corporate which is something I would like to achieve this with my app to make it less intimidating.
I also took inspiration from their app introduction which gives information about what the app has to offer, I thought this would be beneficial at giving the user a basic break down of the app's features.
I like the simple look of the app and how much white is used, however I think more images could be used per page to make it more visually appealing. I like the tab bar displayed at the bottom of the page as I think this makes it easy to navigate around for the user and makes the process of finding a recipe quick and easy.
The feature of having a 'today' page rather than a typical homepage is also a unique feature. The categories on this are interesting but and having a 'story' feature makes the app usable for not just recipes but for reading in spare time as well.
The videos on the app are very simple and are broken down into simple steps however they are at a set time which cannot be altered therefore it is hard to keep on track with the recipe and follow it.
