originally my poster and packaging for the light tampons consisted of this colour. However after my crit it was said that this may be too boring and I should look more into colour theory to decide a colour.
I played around with deepening the colour as I thought this would add more drama to the poster. However they weren't in the same colour range as the yellow and pink used in the other designs therefore didn't work well in a series.
I then played around with a brighter shade of green as I thought it looked more natural and 'earthy' which works well with natracare's brand values and efforts to saving the planet. I like this colour but I don't think it works well with the packing colour.
I then played around with contrasting colours as this was something suggested to me in the crit. I really like how bright and eye-catching this poster looks however I think it could be seen as a bit crude considering it uses red to advertise a period product.
I then played around with using a more feminine shade and looked at lilac however this looked to similar to the pink design.
the colour I decided to go for was this light blue shade which is similar to the packaging colour. After looking into colour theory blue seemed perfect as it is bright, natural and happy. I think it looks very simple which relates well to the branding which has been designed to be as simple as possible.
