Bloodyhell soofiya andry
Bloody Hell is a collaborative non-profit zine about people's experiences with menstruation (#periodzine). This zine project has an intersectional feminist ethos and includes artwork submissions, written pieces, drawings and more from a variety of people who menstruate. It aims shift the discourse around a subject often considered taboo
I worked closely with Calvert's on getting the print finish just right. The final publication is long format full colour printed piece on recycled paper the first 100 copies include a hand letterpressed tip-in piece.
Through a successful social media campaign and some amazing press coverage, the crowdfunderused to cover printing costs doubled its £500 target and also the print run. The zine has had orders from all over the world and press coverage from national newspapers and magazines as well across Europe and India. In Nov 2015 the official publication was launched at The Feminist Library with a Period Party.
