Initial ideas

Step one of the brief was to create some mood boards showing 5 different styles that I would consider using for the designs. The name of the competition is 'out of the woods' and was to take inspiration from the surrounding woodland areas at 10 Associates. 

My first idea was floral collage. I thought this would be a good way to combine local imagery with botanical imagery to be consistent with the theme. 

My second idea was to create something very simplistic and modern to highlight the shapes and outlines of botanicals. 

The third idea was very traditional and looked at how people store/collect botanicals. I found some  old medical journals about how certain plants and flowers can be used for medical purposes. 

My penultimate idea was based more on the woodland animals in the surrounding grounds at 10. There's a lot of cows outside so thought they could be a feature. I also liked the idea of using twigs/ leaves to make a typeface. 

my final idea was to create a simplistic illustration of the old mill building 10 is located in and make it look like a conservatory growing plants out of it.
