For more inspiration into wood engraving/ logo making I looked at tree carvings, commonly associated with couples engraving their initials into trees. Usually handwriting is very rough and angular, I am considering experimenting with my own handwriting in combination with a logo to add a more handmade feel.
From this I looked into more detailed wood carvings which have been created from a chainsaw, I think it is really interesting that a piece of machinery often linked to the destruction of forests etc can create something so delicate and beautiful. The brand Made From The Woods uses reclaimed wood and uses it for a new purpose which is similar to these beautiful wood carvings, they have taken an unused piece of wood and created art out of it.
