I then developed the wood idea further and added a hand written element as I thought it would make the brand appear more homemade and approachable. It also relates to the tree carvings I have looked at previously. I think this design works well as it ties in two elements which I have really enjoyed researching into. To get an idea as to what this design would look like in context I made a mock up of it as though it was engraved into some wood, as you can see I had to thicken some of the lines to make them more visible. I think the design looks really nice and feels homemade.
