final outcome

My final designs are very consistent and I am very pleased with how they have turned out.

Here is my design for a concertina booklet which I think would be a nice addition to the pack which is sent out to people after buying their art pass. In this bo
oklet there is the top 5 people art pass recommend you should visit using your art pass. I personally would find this very useful and I think it would encourage me to plan a day out to one, if not all of the specific places. As people moving to uni are making new friend I think this would be beneficial as bonding experiences and fun things to do together. However it could be a nice thing to do with their family if they havent seen them in a while if theyre busy at uni etc.

I also used this design to create a wallet/ presentation card for the art pass to feature in. These already exist however I wanted to make something more exciting which the student would potentially keep and cherish after receiving it which would be a good branding technique and nice way to remind the student to visit some places as I imagine their pass will be shoved in their wallet when received and never looked at again.

I also looked at making a colouring in page which would work as a relaxation technique for the students and chill them out in times of stress. I thought this could potentially be a nice idea to hand them out at galleries however this would require visitors to have access to colouring materials which is unlikely therefore Im not sure were to go with this idea but I do like it.

My final design for the poster which would be used to get the art pass name out, eg around uni campuses etc is this. I have combined the 90's pattern I created in the background and think it works really well in this context. I have also featured pictures of what the art pass looks like as I think this makes it obvious to students what the art pass actually is and a visual aid will help them. As you can see the colours work really well and compliment each other. Overall I am really please with how the poster looks mocked up and think it would work very well and be affective at attracting people to buy an art pass.

Here is a mockup of how the collectable poster would look, here you can see it in a frame which is just one of the ways it could potentially be displayed in student accommodation. It would more than likely just be blue tacked to a wall however i thought the frame made it look more like a desirable, collectable art piece.

in terms of the poster being a collectable item I wanted to set up some sort of competition which would encourage the students to visit more places. I came up with the idea to create a book which the student will document the places visited in, this will contain 10 spaces to write about 10 places in. When the student has been to 10 places they can then claim their poster. This could then be expanded out into only having a certain amount of posters up for grabs e.g 100. The book page would also have to be stamped or signed to verify the place was actual visited. However I think this could work really well and be an exciting competition encouraging students to visit more places. Not only does this get them out and about it also means theyre likely to spend money in the gift shop/ cafe.
