What I like about this book is that it is very simple and easy to follow therefore it is perfect for beginners. I want to create the same amount fo simplicity for my own book as well as been interesting to look at. Instead of imagery I will consider adding my own illustrations to give it a more personal feel and to be more like a piece of art work rather than an intimidating set of rules.
I really like their use of simplistic language and the fact they talk in a very humorous manner such as using titles like 'potential disasters' as I feel this appeals more to beginners as it is very straight talking.
The book also contains recipes that help you take your home grown fruit and vegetables to the next level by making something out of them. I hope to do something similar in my booklet and I have found a few recipes for each particular fruit/ veg that will be grown. However, I won't write out the recipe like this book does as I want the booklet to be thin, easy to read and not too overbearing. Instead I will feature a list containing a few recipes for the reader to explore more and try themselves.
