milk bottle shape

The milk bottle shape I really like is the one which features grip marks for the consumers fingers and thumb as I believe this would make the product easier to pour for the elderly and young children. However after some consideration into product, I realised that the plastic would have to be pretty thick to ensure it didnt bend or move when being grabbed especially if someone was a bit heavy handed. I then also thought about the product on the shelf and the fact that the milk bottles wouldnt be able to sit side by side, there would be a lot of waster space where the the bottle curves in and out.

Milk in supermarkets sits very closely together which is made possible due to their flat sides and rectangular shape. When considering my bottle shape I know I need something that will easily sit side by side and be packed tightly in the supermarket fridge. It also needs to be tightly packed for transport.
