To get some inspiration for how to design the logo, I look at an existing logo used by Huddersfield uni. This logo is very basic and not very professional however I do like the colour use and the fact it is all situated in a circle. I think it looks very natural and classic.
I looked at existing logos used by other universities too, as you can see they are all very similar and use green and blue in them, this makes it very obvious that it is related to the environment. They often use some greenery in terms of a leaf or plant drawing which I think is subtle and fitting for the purpose.
